This new version of the Skyrise is completely vegan. Mizuno claims that it does not contain any animal-derived material and no animals have been harmed during its creation and manufacturing process.

The new Mizuno Wave Skyrise 3 incorporates an Engineered Mesh upper original and designed by computer. This mesh is softer in the toe box and offers excellent breathability and a snug fit to the foot. Another aspect to highlight about the upper part of the shoe is that both the laces and the mesh of the collar are made with recycled material .

In the midsole, we find two MIZUNO ENERZY Core inserts that provide extra cushioning and reactivity. The waves of the MIZUNO WAVE system, formed by the two parts of the midsole, provide cushioning, stability and energy return .

The sole has four cuts that make the shoe flex more easily in the take-off phase. On the outside of the heel there is a stud with a larger hole that deforms more easily and better cushions the impact in this area.
