The Kéo Classic 3 axle line uses an oversized steel axle. It is composed of a miniature ball bearing (12 mm inside x 18 mm outside) and a needle sleeve for greater resistance to stress.
A spacer washer is used to hold the needle cap. This reduces friction and allows greater fluidity in rotation. A new method of controlling the fit of the axle line in the body further ensures the reliability of our pedals.
LOOK axles are validated only after passing a rotation test of 2 million cycles at 100 rpm with a load of 90 kg on the center of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (which creates an impact with each revolution). This is equivalent to an André GREIPEL sprint of 1,700 watts at 100 rpm for 333 hours! This test is far superior to the current standard: ISO 4210.
