No one wants to plan for a crash, but we want to help mitigate the effects of a crash or skidding down the road at high speeds. The newly developed GRDXKN® 4D printing technology allows us to print a protective film on the fabric of the material. This printing technology transforms ordinary fabrics into smart textiles. In fact, the material properties of the GRDXKN matrix have been successfully tested in crash simulations at speeds up to 100 km/h.
The fine fabrics used are reinforced and padded, while remaining particularly light and flexible. This integrating system favors the ventilation of the printed areas, offering maximum comfort with a significantly higher level of protection and safety. In terms of practicality off the bike, it can be said that clothing equipped with GRDXKN® can be washed normally.

The Grid Skin Bib Shorts are another example of our continued focus on an eco-sustainable approach, as they are made from 100% recycled material. We've revamped the UF Knit44 to be made entirely from recycled materials. Most recycled fabrics only use a recycled yarn for the polyamide portion and stick to a virgin yarn for the spandex portion. In our new development of UF Knit44 ECO we have chosen only 100% recycled yarns.

Minimal ergonomic design
These shorts feature the updated pre-shaped cut that we use to achieve the most ergonomic fit to increase not only performance but also comfort. Thanks to our detailed body mapping research with a focus on seam reduction, we were able to position our panels to support muscles during pedaling. We've improved the fit and feel of the shorts, including introducing a laser-cut surface in the waist area, further reducing problematic seams.

Characteristics
The cut ends of the legs (without the hem) stay in place without using silicone. This method will get rid of burn spots and pressure points, but it will help you get a fine, clear tan line. The support material in the lumbar area is woven with high-density elastic material reinforced with a silver thread, which improves your stability and the centering of your body while pedaling.

For the saddle and pad interface, we used a new proprietary pattern to improve the saddle/pad interface. Our innovative cut pattern eliminates the center seam that normally causes pressure and discomfort when sitting in the saddle. The new drawing replicates the contact surface of the saddle and is made with a molded fabric that adapts naturally to the different types of saddle. To increase comfort in the pelvic area, an anti-stress cut allows greater freedom of movement and avoids pressure points.

Super molded anatomical seat pad
The seat pad uses a new three-dimensional super-molded anatomical construction that better follows the human anatomy and offers more comfort during the ride. The foam pad has been calibrated according to the scheme of varying densities and thicknesses in the perineal, ischial, genital and gluteal areas, resulting in an extremely refined fit for your overall comfort.

The seat pad uses a unique molding technique that creates slight variations in the thickness of the pad, which significantly improves contact with the rider's skin.

Abrasion resistance
The resistance to abrasion is 5 times higher than that of untreated textiles.

padding properties
Despite the low weight (10 g), an impact test showed that the padding properties were improved by 50% compared to an untreated fabric.

Impact force dissipation
The fabric, reinforced with GRDXKN®, creates a highly padded shell that has high abrasion resistance. This results in a delayed destruction of the upper material, dispersing the force caused by the fall and absorbing energy while protecting the skin underneath.
