The first Gilet bike was introduced shortly after the advent of laminated 'shell' fabrics. From the beginning, this garment was thought and developed specifically for professional pilots as the ultimate expression of versatility and essentiality, a true "emergency friend" capable of offering a wide range of protection functions with minimal bulk.

Over time the Gilet has conjugated itself into two distinct categories: the Windproof / Rainproof Gilet and the Thermal Vest, which is used as protection against the cold. The Q36.5 gilet eliminates the distinction between the two categories with 4 hybrid stations 137g per piece of gear. This is achieved mainly through the use of the UFHyrbidShell material, a ribbed thermal wool material that, while constructed without a membrane (which would confer wind or waterproof qualities) is woven, on its outer side, with such an extraordinarily density high in order to create a wind resistance comparable to that of a traditional soft shell fabric, while maintaining a high degree of breathability.

Sensitive drivers will immediately appreciate the advantages of the long descent, where the sweat soaked the jersey is able to absorb through the vest and dry well, a completely new sensation for drivers currently using the gilets available on the market. The material has also undergone a treatment prior to being woven (as opposed to a 'finish' employed on the fabric, the choice that yarns allow to maintain their natural characteristics) for water resistance and fast drying times.

Cut in the same fit block as the L1 short sleeve jersey and constructed with the same advanced tailoring techniques. No back pockets, but two invisible slots for access to the back pockets of the sweater or jacket worn underneath.
