The Giro Imperial shoes are very light. Manufactured with Giro's proprietary Synchwire shaft construction, consisting of ultralight monofilament nylon reinforced with thermally welded Teijin elastomers (TPU). This gives the shoe an optimal structural support and therefore causes a strongly increased resistance, especially in the neuralgic areas. Incorporating the Dual Boa IP1 closure with soft lace guide ensures a completely uniform lacing, eliminates pressure points and fits comfortably to the foot. Easton's EC90 SLX2 carbon outsole provides the perfect balance between weight and stiffness and, in combination with the Super Natural Fit adjustable footbed system, unmatched pedaling efficiency and comfort.

The new BOA IP-1 winder has a triple functionality: to close the right shoe the rotor must be turned clockwise and to open it it must be turned counter-clockwise, the opposite occurs with the left shoe. Raise the rotor to fully open the shoe. The new BOA IP1 rotor has a hexagonal shape, which, together with the rubber finish, makes the grip more effective and with an optimal fit. -
