We have designed a new raglan-style jersey, updating the cut of this traditional cut in the cycling world.
Following detailed studies in the matting of body areas, our new raglan jersey is designed using a combination of different strategically placed fabrics to enhance the look and aerodynamic benefits.
The sleeves are made with a slightly ribbed fabric, while the front panel is a micro-perforated fabric and the back is made of breathable mesh fabric. The set is an innovative combination that makes the R2 Jersey very light (110 grams) and very breathable.
Historical note: the raglan sleeve construction first appeared in professional cycling in 1986. The Dutch PDM team introduced this new cut for visibility reasons on a sleeve that was wider and allowed for a larger logo. This was the beginning of the popularity of this type of clothing in cycling.
